You are Something Special

You and I are not very different from this flower 🌹. Just like this flower is unique, we are unique. Don’t compare your life with others. There is no comparison between the sun and the moon. They shine when it’s their time. All of us have something special that makes us as beautiful. Do you know what makes you special?

Greetings to everyone!
I was nineteen years old, just completed my graduation and preparing for a government exam.
One day I got a call from an educational counselor, convincing me to get enrolled in a 2 year MBA program. That was the time when I had a strong English Phobia because I belong to a Hindi medium background. Evidently, without a single second discussion, I clearly denied that proposal of the counselor. Being a salesperson he is beating around the bush and said to me “You are Something Special” that is the reason I’m convincing you. If you join us, I can help you find that something. That’s the first time in my whole life when somebody has ever told: “You are Something Special”. It gave me a feeling of joy but I don't know what is special in me? I joined that program, as time passed I felt an improvement in myself that gave me a very special feeling than preparing for a government exam. I started discovering myself.

And one day my teacher introduced me to the toastmasters club. As I expected with the word “toast” I think it will be a kind of club where we will have discussions over tea and enjoy toast along with it. I decided to go but in the middle of the meeting I entered the club and suddenly people looked at me and started clapping. I mean WOW. Before I well settled myself into that moment a person called Table Topic Master invited me for my introduction and after that gave me a table topic. I never thought how scary an actuality could be than my expectations. As soon as the meeting got over the president of that club came to me and said: “You are Something Special” and gave me a five minutes evaluation of my 30 seconds table topic speech. He said if you join us, I can help you find that something. And again I don't know what is special in me? I joined the club, as time passed I felt improvement in myself in terms of leadership and communication skills and that gave me a very special feeling than attending my regular college class.

You are Something Special
Now it was the time when I realized if I have taken a few necessary steps before I could also prepare for exams to get admission in dream IIM’s. But as it said it’s never too late. I applied for the campus ambassador program of IIM Ahmedabad and was selected. I successfully registered 20 participants' from my college and now it’s time to lead them in the event of IIM Ahmedabad. From travel to accommodation to managing them as a guardian was not an easy task to do. I asked for the help from the college director for arranging one faculty with me but the director said: “You are Something Special” you can manage it properly. And here again, I don't know what is special in me?
I took the step with my college mates towards Ahmedabad and literally I don’t know-how, from the very first day to the third last day I managed all things so perfectly. I won a bronze certificate all around the campus ambassador of India, many more rewards including this t-shirt as memory. It was the time when I felt something special in me. 

Time had passed. I completed my college. I found a dream girl, but not a dream Job. One day I asked to my girlfriend, why you are in love with such a Jobless person. She said, “You are Something Special”. And once again I don't know what is special in me?

Ladies and gentleman today I feel I’m a learner, I’m a rising speaker and I learned the unfailing quality of unconditional faith from each and every person of my life.

There was a time in my life When I was broken, lost the way many time but it was a group of people around me who never let me down and their faith of I am something special made me realized what is special in me. I again say don’t compare yourself with others you will shine when it’s your time because I see "You all are something special" but once again, I don't know what it is.

"You don't have to see the whole staircase just take the first step and you will create wonders in your life"
