Leader Within You

Whenever we talk about Sachin Tendulkar, Swami Vivekananda, J. R. D. Tata, Mahatma Gandhi & Narendra Modi we always imbibe about great leaders in Indian history. Are they born leader?
No, because they believe leadership is not a position or a title, it is action and example.
Also as truly said by Someone, leaders are made not born.

Greetings to everyone
You are a Leader. You are a leader You are a leader too
So, my question is to all what comes to your mind when I emphasize a single statement thrice?
Are you able to relate it with yourself?
I hope Most of you are able to relate it with yourself. Because you all are here to become a leader.

Successful people have two pillars in their life - "Communication" & "Leadership"
While many of us are aware of the communication aspect, let me give some insight into the leadership as well. So all of us here are to see ourselves grow as a leader, but why and how we can become?
For that, we should identify our leadership style because for becoming anything we must know
basics about it. Is leadership providing direction, implementing plans, or motivating people?

There are 8 primary Leadership Styles and I am here to discuss about 4 major leadership styles
A. Bureaucratic
Bureaucratic leadership is where the manager manages by the books, everything should be done as per policy. This type of leader believes in top-down interaction.

B. Authoritative
This type of leader has more experience and knowledge than those he/she lead and works towards common and long term goals.

C. Innovative
Innovative leadership encourages innovative ideas, products & services in complex situations.

D. Democratic
Democratic leadership style is also known as a participative leadership style. In which members of the group participate in the decision-making process.

E. Pacesetting
This leader motivates by setting high standards of
performance and then leads by example also
focuses on productivity.

F. Affiliative
This leader is collaborative and focuses on emotional
needs. The affiliative style is often used effectively alongside visionary leadership.

G. Coaching
This style is most effective in a one-on-one setting
when the person being coached is receptive to the close working relationship of this leadership style.

H. Altruistic
This leader personalizes approaches to meet the
individualized needs of the team.

For identifying my own leadership style, I found some interesting material (attaching) whereIn I responded to something around 48 statements.

Based on these responses I marked my score in boxes of 8 kinds of leadership style
(Image attached below) and highest total to lowest total respectively shows the Rank of situated leadership style in me and I am in the first rank in terms of democratic leadership style with the highest score of 17 and so on.
Find your leadership ranking

You can evaluate your own leadership style as well

This helped me to identify my leadership Style but I was curious to know at what level of leadership I stand, so here are 5 levels of leadership-
  1. Master
  2. Stressor
  3. Dabbler
  4. Fault Finder
  5. Quitter
5th level of leadership is the lowest level, actually called quitter.
You can see this where the quitter is supposed to go but the moment he sees the difficulty he will quit.He will fall down.

And then comes the 4th level of leadership a little better, actually called fault finder.
What will he do? He will try to analyze how difficult any job is and analytically he will convince you that it is not possible by finding out basic faults. These are the people who ignore 99 good things, and only talk about 1 bad thing.

And then comes 3rd level of leadership much better than these two, actually called Dabbler
This kind of leader joins an organization with great enthusiasm and high energy. Whatever may be the challenge, they try to achieve this goal and fall down, again try and fall done, and repeat this practice 2--3 more times. But in the end they say no we can’t do this. This called initial enthusiasm

2nd is a stressor and they are extraordinary people. They try to achieve this goal and fall down, again try and fall down and repeat this practice until and unless they don’t achieve their goals. So what is the difference between stressor & Dabbler?
Dabbler tries 3--4 times and gives up but the stressor never gives up.

1st is Master and they are the legendary people. People who have born to create history!
They try to achieve this goal and whenever they face any problem they never fall down, only and only they just take one step back and think strategically. In stressor’s life there is stress but In Master’s life, there is always a strategy.

So these are the five-levels of leadership and whenever we talk about leaders the first thing that comes in our mind that is Attributes of a leader. The leader word itself defines it.

Where-
L-- Lead by Example
E-- Effective Communicator
A-- Ambitious
D-- Determined
E-- Encourage Others
R-- Ready To Learn And Teach

So, At the end of the conclusion part, I want to say somehow at sometimes directly or indirectly we lead someone, be it family member, friends, peers, or personal surroundings but point to remember here is to recognize how leadership styles may impact those whom we lead.

Remember, Before getting into the leadership role, communication is must as said members are empowered to develop first their communication and then leadership style.
